The DISRUPTORS!
…by Shane Hale
I sat down recently to get some work done, but within an hour I had filled up a piece of paper with random thoughts. None related to the real estate work I had been doing.
It started when the word “disruptor” crossed my radar. It yelled at me as it went by, and I wrote it down. Writing it down opened the door for other thoughts, which I also wrote down.
It was the “writing it down” part that opened the door for the other things to roll in.
But pondering does little, you can ponder something forever. It’s the “taking action” part that gets things moving. Applies to so much in life.
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world. 1
This morning that piece of paper was in my line of sight again. The words still jumping out at me.
So, here’s the thing, at least as I see it….
This world tells us to conform, get along, go along, etc. Christ tells us the opposite. He tells us to disrupt the status quo that constantly tells you to live for the now, to live for the world, and instead….to live for Him, while you are in this world.
Going against the grain of society, of those around us, can often take some courage. Do it anyway!
Stand your ground, and when all is done…stand firm. 2
Be disruptive to the enemy’s work in your life, in the lives of those around you, and in this world. Or, as I often say, Fight Back!
Personally, I like the title…. Disruptor ….because it beats the socks off of “Conformer”.
Get in the boat. Do your part.
From Nose to Toes!
